If you haven’t experienced Sandspit Adventures yet, stop reading this review, pack your bags, and go! Seriously, you’ve been warned. Sandspit is a little slice of heaven that’s more than just a fishing trip—it’s a full-on aquatic carnival with jaw-dropping fishing, the craziest variety of fish, and staff that could convince you to sign up for a lifetime membership with just one smile.
Let’s talk fishing: imagine casting your line into the crystal-clear waters, and BOOM, something massive bites! In one trip, we reeled in everything from salmon that could make you feel like you’re in a nature documentary, to bottom fish so colorful they should be on a post card. It’s like the ocean decided to throw a party, and you’re the VIP guest. I lost count of the species we caught, but let’s just say if there’s a fish out there, Sandspit probably has it….

Just had the trip of a life time at Sandspit Adventures! Chad and his team go the extra mile giving such a personal experience it honestly feels like fishing with your friends! We were personally greeted at the Airport with Chad himself and his crew, brought to the lodge. The lodge has a great deck with a view looking over the water, walking distance to the marina in about 30-45 seconds. Which they shuttle to and from if needing. Filled with Lots to do and games to challenge your friends for some Money or bragging rights when not on the water. The staff at the lodge are top shelf, always making sure you’re taken care of, plus the Chefs meals were delicious ! The guides were amazing, I personally fished with Jason, Drew and Jade and I had a blast with all of them! The boats have a mix of lodge equipment and some of the guides personal stuff that work great! (Those green Islander MR3 reels on Jason’s boat and Islander TR3’s on Drew’s were something else!

True to my expectations, this was an unforgettable trip, superior guide (Big Tom), great food and very friendly/attentive service from arrival to departure. My age comes with certain challenges that were absolutely considered in making this trip so memorable. Soooo many fish and soooo much fun!!!

My wife and I just returned from a fishing trip to Sandspit Adventures, Haida Gwaii, BC. The Sandspit Adventure staff is really great. Our host Chad Whiteside runs a wonderful resort. Our guide/captain Cori Lemmen was excellent. We caught a ton of halibut, salmon, Ling Cod and rock fish. The house staff was very accommodating. The 29 foot boats are new and superb. We have already booked for next year. This is a great place to catch lots of fish. Thanks so much.
